प्रश्न

Explain three causes of low efficiency of labour in India.

Mention two causes of low efficiency of labour in India.

Discuss any four important causes of low efficiency of Indian labour.

थोडक्यात उत्तर

उत्तर १

Causes of low efficiency of labour:

  1. Hot Climate: India is a subtropical country and its climate is hot. This is the most important natural cause of low efficiency of Indian labour.
  2. Low Wages: The wages of labour in general are low and so is the standard of living. Indian workers are poorly fed and ill-clothed. As such, the workers are not in a position to keep themselves physically and mentally fit. This, in turn, affects their efficiency.
  3. lncongenial Environment: Indian workers have to work under very unhygienic conditions. Many factories in India have unhygienic conditions. The facilities of canteen, recreation and relaxation are also not provided. All these have adversely affected the efficiency of Indian workers.
  4. Poor Technology: The machines are either outdated or of poor standard. Besides, frequent breakdowns of machines and electricity cause a downfall in the efficiency of Indian workers.
