- Their ships travelled and transported goods and grain across the water in front of the city.
- Many rivers and streams flowed from Mount Ida.
- Well-watered and verdant valleys among the hills produced corn in fertile fields, while cattle were raised on the luxuriant grass of the meadows. As a result, Troy grew in wealth and prosperity.
