प्रश्न

Solve numerical example.

Calculate the electric field due to a charge of −8.0×10−8 C at a distance of 5.0 cm from it.

बेरीज

उत्तर

Given: q = −8.0×10−8 C, r = 5 cm = 5 × 10−2 m

To find: Electric field (E)

Formula: E = `1/(4πε_0)"q"/"r"^2`

Calculation: From formula,

E = `9xx10^9xx((-8xx10^-8))/(5xx10^-2)^2`

= −2.88 × 105 N/C

Electric field due to a charge is −2.88 × 105 N/C.
