प्रश्न
Solve for x and y:
`5/x + 2/y = 6, (−5)/x + 4/y = -3`
उत्तर
The given equations can be written as
`5/x + 2/y = 6` …….(i)
`(−5)/x + 4/y = -3 ` ……(ii)
Adding (i) and (ii), we get
`6/y` = 3 ⇒ y = 2
Substituting y = 2 in (i), we have
`5/x + 2/2 = 6 ⇒ x = 1`
Hence, x = 1 and y = 2.
