0.4x – 1.2 = 0.3x + 0.6

Sum

Solution

0.4x – 1.2 = 0.3x + 0.6

⇒ 0.4x - 0.3x = 0.6 + 1.2

⇒ 0.1x = 1.8

⇒ `1/10"x" = 18/10`

⇒ x = `18/10 xx 10/1 = 18` 

∴ x = 18
