Question

Answer in brief.

What is wattles current?

Definition
Short Note

Solution

Wattless current is defined as the current that does not consume energy and thus consumes no power.

The average power consumed over a complete cycle in a purely inductive or purely capacitive circuit is zero, and thus the corresponding alternating current in the circuit is referred to as wattless current.
