The acids or alkalis used to make the following products are given against them.
(i) Car batteries – Sulphuric acid 
(ii) Explosives – Nitric acid (in explosives such as TNT, or trinitrotoluene)
(iii) Soaps – Sodium hydroxide
(iv) Fertilisers – Nitric acid, sulphuric acids
