  1. Wet cleaning:
    1. The wet method of cleaning makes use of water.
    2. The clothes are soaked in water containing various cleansing agents like soap, detergents, washing soda, borax, etc. 
  2. Dry cleaning:
    1. Dry cleaning is the process of cleaning of clothes and textiles that makes the use of chemical solvents, other than water, to remove grease and dirt.
    2. Dry cleaning is the method of cleaning clothes using solvents (liquids) like petrol, turpentine, etc., and absorbents (powders) like talcum powder, powdered sulphur, chalk, etc. These substances help to remove dirt without the use of water, soaps, or detergents.
