Discuss in groups and write about the life of Grace using following guide lines.

1. Place of Living: Grace Darling lived in a lighthouse on an island off the east coast of England that was very far away. The lighthouse was out in the middle of the ocean, far from any towns or cities. 
2. Support from Parents: Her father worked as a lighthouse guard and taught her to be brave, honest, and kind. She was able to build a strong character with his help. 
3. Her Helping Nature: Grace cared about other people. She always wanted to help other people and cared a lot about the safety of ships at sea.
4. Her Brave Act: A ship called Forfarshire sank near the lighthouse on a stormy night in 1838. Even though the sea was dangerous, Grace insisted on saving the survivors. She and her father rowed through the rough waves and saved a number of people.
5. How She Was Finally Rewarded: People all over England knew about her brave act. Her bravery was hailed, and she was given awards to show it. She stayed humble, though, and lived a simple life in the lighthouse.
6. Her Unselfishness: Grace put her own life at risk to help other people. She didn't think twice about going out into the rough sea, which showed how brave and selfless she was.
7. The Challenges She Had in the Lighthouse: It was hard and lonely to live in the tower. They had to deal with bad weather, like rains and being cut off from other people. Even so, Grace got used to her new environment.
8. Her Education: Because Grace lived a long way from school, her father taught her at home. She learnt to read and write and was taught to be responsible and follow rules.
