Panchsheel Philosophy is based on the views of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. He believed that no development activity should take place at the cost of tribal heritage. He created long term guidelines for tribal development.

1. Tribal rights to land and forests should be protected.
2. We should try to train and build up a team of tribal people for their own administration and development.
3. We should judge the results not by statistics or the amount of money spent, but by the quality of human life that is evolved.
