Question
Find the value of 3ab + 10bc – 2abc when a = 2, b = 5 and c = 8.
Solution
a = 2, b = 5, c = 8
∴ 3ab + 10bc − 2abc
= 3 × 2 × 5 + 10 × 5 × 8 − 2 × 2 × 5 × 8
= 30 + 400 − 160
= 430 − 160
= 270
