Find the values of the following polynomials at a = –2 and b = 3:

`(a^2 + b^2)/3`

Solution

Given, a = –2 and b = 3

So, putting a = –2 and b = 3 in the given expressions, we get

`(a^2 + b^2)/3 = ((-2)^2 + (3)^2)/3`

= `(4 + 9)/3`

= `13/3`
