Find the value of discriminant (Δ) for the quadratic equation: `x^2+7x+6=0`

Solution

Given quadratic equation is x2 + 7 x + 6 = 0.
a = 1, b = 7, c =6
The discriminant (Δ) = b2 – 4ac = 72 – 4(1)(6) = 49 – 24 = 25
