Question
Find which of the following equations are quadratic:
5x2 – 8x = –3(7 – 2x)
Solution
5x2 – 8x = –3(7 – 2x)
`\implies` 5x2 – 8x = 6x – 21
`\implies` 5x2 – 14x + 21 = 0; which is of the form ax2 + bx + c = 0.
∴ Given equation is a quadratic equation.
