Question
If the length of an arc of the sector of a circle is 20 cm and if the radius is 7 cm, find the area of the sector.
Sum
Solution
We are given:
- Arc length (l) = 20 cm
- Radius (r) = 7 cm
- We need to find the area of the sector.
Area of Sector `= ("Arc Length"×"Radius")/2`
`A = (l xx r)/2`
`A = (20xx7)/2`
`A = 140/2`
A = 70 cm2
