Amaan:	Hi everyone!
Brinda:	Hi Amaan! You seem upset. Is everything alright?
Amaan:	I again had an argument with my mother over the use of mobile phones. She says I am addicted. But now that our studies are online, we have to use them for long hours. What is your opinion on this?
Judy:	I think the features of smart phones are really useful, and they also help us with our education while providing general support in our day-to-day lives. But nowadays, we see increasing usage of smart phones everywhere. I feel that teenagers these days get too addicted to their mobile phones. With the advancements and options available, so many people become dependent on it. Their eyes are glued to the phone screen most of the day.
Brinda:	Yes, sometimes, it feels like a waste of time and energy.
Maira:	You're both correct. I feel even I have become dependent on my smart phone for everything. But it affects your eyesight. It also leads to other health issues because of bad posture, effects of radiation.
Judy:	It also leads to stress and anxiety. Even at a public place, we are mostly glued to our phones. People fail to interact with each other. We neglect the people around us. Relationships have taken a toll because of mobiles.
Amaan:	I think it’s the parents' responsibility equally. Teenagers sometimes make mistakes but parents need to set rules and explain boundaries about excess usage.
Asha:	I agree with Amaan. But I also think a smart phone is a necessity in today's world, especially for educational purposes. I believe there is nothing wrong with having a personal phone, as long as its usage is limited. Children follow what their parents do. So they need to set the right example.
Anamika:	Yes, I agree. I have to share a phone with my sister, and it becomes really frustrating sometimes. We both need it for work and sometimes for entertainment too. I feel smart phones are a great necessity for teenagers, as long as its usage is right.
Asha:	Taking everyone's point into consideration, I think a smart phone is a useful tool but is also harmful and addictive. It depends on how a person decides to use it.
