Question
Group Discussion:
You along with your friends Sujit, Rohit and Kishore discussing their likes and dislikes. But all are fascinated with the reading habit. Write a short group discussion in the form of dialogue telling the importance of reading for enhancing knowledge.
Solution
Teacher: | You all have a few minutes to consider your preferences, concentrating on the habit of reading. You may now start the conversation. Who is willing to begin? |
Sujit: | I would like to begin by saying that I actually like outdoor games like cricket, football, volleyball, etc. At first, I considered reading to be a rather tedious and monotonous habit. To understand it fully, you must read it while spending a lot of time alone. I used to prefer to avoid reading, but after reading Lal King to my parents and older brother, I've come to appreciate how reading benefits us in a variety of ways by providing a window into the world. I now make it a point to avoid becoming too involved before reading things. |
I: | Sujit, I completely agree with you, albeit I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. I read several novels that my sister gave to me as a present, and I've since fallen in love with reading. Reading is unquestionably a beneficial habit. We may also use the internal because there are hundreds of books about it. Audiobooks also assist us in hearing the narrative. |
Rohit: | I'll admit that I disagree partially since for me, working for hours in front of a computer or while wearing a mobile device is tiresome. Instead, I would like to grab a book, unwind in a chair, and continue reading for hours. Reading takes strong tenacity and patience to fully comprehend everything. It gives us the chance to encounter various characters, situations, and reactions to those experiences. |
Kishor: | Listening to all of this makes me extremely happy. I also enjoy watching television and playing video or computer games. However, my mother assisted me in developing a reading habit, and reading has now become my favourite activity. Now I understand that reading exposes us to a variety of situations, some of which are extremely difficult, and teaches us how to deal with and overcome them. It forces us to look within ourselves, understand, and objectively analyze our reactions. |
Teacher: | Now I feel that it is time to reach the conclusion. |
Sujit: | In conclusion, I believe that everyone of us has unique interests, hobbies, and loves and dislikes. But everyone has come to understand the value of reading in our life. We must continue reading consistently if we want to improve our knowledge. |
