In ∆ACE and ∆BDE,

∠ACE = ∠BDE  ......(AC || BD, alternate interior angles)

CE = DE  ......(Given)

∠AEC = ∠BED  ......(Vertically opposite angles)

∴ ∆ACE ≅ ∆BDE  ......(ASA criterion)

∴ Triangles are congruent but not by RHS congruence criterion
