Name some of the functions of the General Assembly connected with UN appointments.
Solution
The General Assembly elects the non-permanent members of the Security Council, the members of the Economic and Social Council and the members of Trusteeship Council.
The General Assembly also elect Judges of the International Court of Justice jointly with the Security Council. It appoints the Secretary General of the United Nations on recommendations of the Security Council.
