Namita travels 20km 50m every day. Out of this, she travels 10km 200m by bus and the rest by auto. How much distance does she travel by auto?
Solution
Total distance travelled by Namita = 20km 50m
= 20.050km
Distance travelled by bus = 10km 200m
= 10.200km
Distance travelled by auto = Total distance travelled – Distance travelled by bus
∴ Distance to be travelled by auto is
20.050
– 10.200
9.850
∴ Namita travelled 9.850 km by auto
