Question

One card is drawn from a well-shuffled deck of 52 cards. Find the probability of getting a king of red colour.

Sum

Solution

Total number of cards in a well-shuffled deck = 52

Total number of kings of red colour = 2

P (getting a king of red colour) =`"Number of favourable outcomes"/"Total number of outcomes"`

= `2/52`

= `1/26`
