Question
The area of a rectangle is 102 sqcm. If its length is 17 cm, what is its perimeter?
Solution
Area of rectangle = l × b
102 = 17 × b
b = `102/17 = 6` cm
Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)
= 2(17 + 6)
= 2 × 23
= 46 cm
∴ The Perimeter of the rectangle is 46 cm.
