Question
The` "n"^(th)` term of the A. P. 3, 8, 13, 18, ............ is 148. Find n
Solution
The A. P. is 3, 8, 13, 18, ............
Let the nth term of the A. P. be 148.
a = 3, d = 5 and ` t_n` = 148
`t_n=a+(n-1)d`
`148=3+(n-1)5`
=`3+5n-5`
∴`5_n=148+2=150`
∴` n=30`
∴` 30^(th) "term is" 148`
