Question
Two angles are supplementary and their measures are (7x+6)° and (2x-15)°. Find the measures of the angles.
Solution
Let the supplementary angles be
∠1 + ∠2 = 180°
⇒ (7 x + 6) + (2x - 15) = 180°
⇒ 9x = 180 + 15 - 6 = 189°
⇒ `(189)/(9)` = 21°
Thus, the measure of the angles are : (7x + 6)v and (2x - 15)°.
= 153° and 27°.
