Two inductor coils with inductance 10 mH and 20 mH are connected in series. What is the resultant inductance of the combination of the two coils?
Solution
L1 = 10 mH
L2 = 20 mH
Leff = ?
Resultant inductance of the series combination is
Leff = L1 + L2
= 10 + 20
= 30 mH
∴ The resultant inductance of the combination of two coils is 30 mH.
