What happens when persistent dialysis of a colloidal solution is carried out?
Solution
When prolonged dialysis of a colloidal solution is done, the colloidal solution in the tube would contain a very small of amount of small solute as most of it will be washed out.
This will lead to concentration of the colloidal particles and coagulation of the solution (colloidal sol)
