Write the following set in the set-builder form:

{2, 4, 8, 16, 32}

Solution

{2, 4, 8, 16, 32}

It can be seen that 2 = 21, 4 = 22, 8 = 23, 16 = 24, and 32 = 25.

∴ {2, 4, 8, 16, 32} = {x : x = 2n, n ∈ N and 1 ≤ n ≤ 5}
