Question

Write the greatest common factor in the following terms.

3x3y2z, – 6xy3z2, 12x2yz3

Sum

Solution

We have,

3x3y2z = 3 × x × x × x × y × y × z

– 6xy3z2 = – 3 × 2 × x × y × y × y × z × z

12x2yz3 = 3 × 4 × x × x × y × z × z × z

∴ The greatest common factor i.e. GCF is 3xyz.
