Question
Write what you think about the following thoughts and actions of Mathilde :
Mathilde and her husband decided to replace the necklace.
Solution
I think their decision to replace the jewellery was immature and a lie; instead, they should have directly and freely informed Madame Forestier about the situation. It could have saved them from the terrible existence they had to live and the horrible debt they had to repay.
