Solution
(x - 4) (2x + 3 ) = 2x²
⇒ x (2x + 3) - 4 (2x + 3) = 2x²
⇒ 2x² + 3x - 8x - 12 = 2x²
⇒ 2x² + 3x - 8x - 2x² = 12
⇒ - 5x = 12
⇒ x = `12/-5 = (-12)/5`
∴ x = `-2 2/5`
