What is Magnetization?

- The ratio of the magnetic moment to the volume of the material is called magnetization.
- If the magnetic specimen of volume ‘V’ acquires net magnetic dipole moment ‘M’ due to the magnetising field, then `"M" = ("m"_"net")/"V"`.
- M is a vector quantity.
- The SI unit of magnetization is Am−1.
