Together, washing dishes and taking a bath account for just 3% of all water use. The high water use in toilets and laundry suggests that there is a lot of room for water conservation in these areas. Use of low-flow toilets or fewer flushes, the use of water-efficient washing machines, and the repair of leaks can all contribute to significant water savings.
