प्रश्न

The  lines 3x - 2y + 4 = 0 and 3x + my + 6 = 0 are parallel to each other . Find m.

योग

उत्तर

Slope of 3x - 2y + 4 = 0 is `3/2`

Slope of 3x + my + 6 = 0 is `(-3)/"m"`

Since the lines are given parallel their slopes must be equal

`therefore 3/2 = (-3)/"m"` ⇒ m = -2
