Waste Water:

Wastewater is dirty water from homes, factories, and industries. It is collected and released into rivers or lakes, but it first has to be cleaned because it contains many harmful things. Wastewater from residential buildings, factories, and industries contains many kinds of impurities. Some dissolve in the water, while others do not.

Harmful Effects of Waste Water:

  • Wastewater can have germs and microorganisms that spread diseases.
  • Water from factories may contain poisonous substances.
  • If we put this dirty water straight into rivers or lakes without cleaning it, it makes the water polluted and unsafe to use or drink.

Effective Methods to Reduce Pollution:

  1. Factory owners must treat their wastewater, which means cleaning it before releasing it into water bodies.
  2. Towns and cities also purify their sewage before letting it flow into rivers or lakes.
  3. This process helps prevent water pollution and keeps water bodies clean.
  4. Flowing rivers can naturally clean some water, but we must treat the wastewater properly.
  5. Before water is supplied to homes in a city or town, it is also purified to make it safe for drinking.
