Topics

Adaptation in forest and grassland animals:

1. Carnivores (meat-eaters): Animals like wild dogs, foxes, tigers, and lions have adaptations to hunt and catch their prey. They have strong legs to run fast, sharp claws, and pointed canine teeth to grab and tear their prey. Tigers have padded paws, which help them move quietly when hunting. Their eyes are located at the front of their head, allowing them to focus and spot prey from far away.

Lion

2. Herbivores (plant-eaters): Herbivores like deer and blackbucks have different adaptations to protect themselves from predators. Their eyes are on the sides of their heads, giving them a wide view to spot danger. They have long, strong legs and hooves to help them run fast and take big leaps. Their ears are large and can move in different directions to hear sounds from far away. Herbivores also have strong teeth to chew tough plants, and their body colours blend with the environment, helping them hide from predators.

Blackbuck

These adaptations help animals in forests and grasslands survive by either catching prey or avoiding predators.
