The Universe
The Universe:
The universe is a large space that contains everything we know, such as stars, planets, and galaxies.
- It contains our Earth, the Sun, and all the other planets. The universe is enormous and continues to expand.
- The universe contains many stars and planets, many of which we cannot see with our eyes.
- A group of innumerable stars and their planetary systems is together known as a ‘galaxy.’
- The Milky Way is the galaxy in which our solar system is located. The Milky Way is part of the ‘Local Group’ of galaxies. There are many such galaxies in the universe.
- Everything around us, from the tiniest particles to the largest galaxies, is part of the universe.
- The galaxy that is closest to our Milky Way is called Andromeda.
