Effects of tobacco, alcohol, and smoking on the digestive system:

Physical health is extremely important in personality development. When all our organ systems function properly, we say that we are in good health. However, harmful habits like smoking, chewing tobacco, and drinking alcohol affect our health adversely.

Tobacco Products:

  • Affect the mouth, pharynx (throat), and digestive organs. Cause vomiting, nausea, and headaches.
  • Tobacco sticks to teeth, gums, and mouth skin, leading to injury and swelling.
  • Swollen gums cause pain when moving jaws. Inflamed pharynx and intestine can lead to cancer.

My Role in Preventing Addiction:

  • Create posters and slogans. Display them in classrooms and the neighbourhood.
  • Monitor the surroundings: Make sure the environment stays tobacco-free.
  • Compose an Oath: Take it in class and assemblies to stay away from addictions.
  • Raise Awareness: Inform parents and teachers about any cases of addiction nearby.
