उत्तर

Area of shaded portion = Area of trapezium ABCH + Area of trapezium CDEF

Area of trapezium = `1/2` × (Sum of parallel sides) × (Height)

∴ Area of trapezium ABCH = `1/2 xx (12 + 6) xx 4`

= `1/2 xx 18 xx 4`

= 18 × 2

= 36 cm2

∴ Area of trapezium CDEF = `1/2 xx (8 + 16) xx 3`

= `(24 xx 3)/2`

= 36 cm2

Area of shaded portion = 36 + 36 = 72 cm2
