  2. The sex ratio of India started rising since 1991 and has not gone down since then.
  3. In the decade 1961-71, the sex ratio of India started going down and came to be about 920-25 females per 1000 males.
  4. Sex ratio is the ratio of the number of females present in a country to every 1000 males.
  5. The sex ratio of Brazil indicates that the number of females is much greater per 1000 males and it rose to about more than 1080 females per 1000 males.
  6. According to the graph in the year 1961 itself the number of females exceeded the number of males.
