प्रश्न

On what factors does the internal resistance of a cell depend?

थोडक्यात उत्तर

उत्तर

The internal resistance of a cell depends on:

  1. The Surface Area of the Electrodes: Large the surface area of electrodes, the less is the internal resistance.
  2. The Distance Between the Electrodes: More the distance between the electrodes, the greater is the internal resistance.
  3. The Nature and Concentration of the Electrolyte: Less ionic the electrolyte or the higher the concentration of electrolyte, the greater is the internal resistance.
  4. The Temperature of the Electrolyte: Higher the temperature of the electrolyte less is the internal resistance.
