Use the graphical method to find the value of k, if:
(k, -3) lies on the straight line 2x + 3y = 1

2x + 3y = 1
⇒ 3y = 1 - 2x
⇒ y = `(1 - 2x)/(3)`
The table for 2x + 3y = 1 is

X - 1 2 5
Y 1 - 1 - 3

Plotting the above points in a graph, we get the following graph:


From the above graph, it is clear that k = 5
