Solution 2

Element % age wt. At wt. Relative no of moles Simple ratio of atoms
C 4.8 12 `4.8/12` = 0.4 `0.4/0.4` = 1
H 1 1 `1/1` = 1 `1/0.4` = `10/4`

∴ gram atom of C = 0.4 and H = 1.
