Cardio-respiratory endurance is most evident:

  2. During sustained activities involving the whole body, such as running, swimming, and cycling long distances, and also during recovery.
  3. It is the most essential physical fitness component, which is evident in everyday activities and most forms of sports. Most of the benefits attributed to improved physical fitness are in fact due to increased cardio-respiratory endurance.
