Question

Curved surface area of a right circular cylinder is 4.4 m2. If the radius of the base of the cylinder is 0.7 m, find its height.

`["Assume "pi=22/7]`

Solution

Let the height of the circular cylinder be h.

Radius (r) of the base of cylinder = 0.7 m

CSA of cylinder = 4.4 m2

rh = 4.4 m2

`(2xx22/7xx0.7xxh)m=4.4m^2`

h = 1 m

Therefore, the height of the cylinder is 1 m.
