Question
Explain the following term.
Relay baton
Solution
In a relay race, competitors compete by taking turns finishing certain sections of the racecourse or carrying out specific tasks. Professional races and amateur games are the two types of relay races. Running, orienteering, swimming, cross-country skiing, biathlon, and ice skating all frequently feature relay competitions. Each of the four sprinters completes a lap of the track by running 100 meters in the same lane. They must pass a baton to the next runner inside a 20 meters changeover box, which is located 10 meters before and 10 meters after the start of each subsequent leg, during their individual legs.
