Question
Find the area of the rhombus, the length of whose diagonals are 30 cm and 16 cm. Also, find the perimeter of the rhombus.
Solution
Area of the rhombus =`1/2xxd_1xxd_2` Where `d_1 and d_2`
are the lengths of the diagonals
=`1/2xx30xx16`
=`240 cm^2`
Side of thee rhombus=`1/2 sqrt(d_1^2+d_2^2)`
=`1/2 sqrt(30^2+16^2)`
=`1/2sqrt1156`
=`1/2xx34`
= `17 cm`
Perimeter of the rhombus =4a
=`4xx17`
=`68 cm`
