Find in terms of x the length of the arc that subtends an angle of 30°, at the centre of circle of radius 4 cm.

Solution

Length of arc =`theta/360°`× 2𝜋𝑟

Radius = r = 4 cm

𝜃 = angle subtended at centre = 30°

Arc length =`30^@/360^@`× 2 × (7)

=`(2pi)/3`cm
