Question

Find the distance between the origin and the point:
(-8, 6)

Sum

Solution

Coordinates of origin are O (0, 0).
A (-8, 6)
AO = `sqrt((0 + 8)^2 + (0 - 6)^2)`
= `sqrt(64 + 36)`
= `sqrt(100)`
= 10
