Question
Find the mean of x + 3, x + 5, x + 7, x + 9 and x + 11.
Solution
Mean of x + 3, x + 5, x + 7, x + 9 and x + 11
∴ Mean =`(("x"+3)("x"+5)("x"+7)("x"+9)("x"+11))/2` ..........(Here n = 5)
= `(5"x"+35)/5`
= `(5("x"+7))/5`
= x + 7
