Question
Given that (a, 2a) lies on line`(y)/(2) = 3 - 6`.Find the value of a.
Solution
Point (a, 2a) lies on the line
`(y)/(2) = 3x - 6`
∴ `(2a)/(2)` = 3a - 6
⇒ a = 3a - 6
⇒ 2a = 6
⇒ a = 3.
